I am so happy that my girls still let me do their hair anyway I want without complaining. I know it won't always be like this. So, every once in a while I like to do fun little hair styles like this. Bowling Fun

A few weeks ago we had a fun family day of bowling. For some reason I can't upload more than 3 photos at a time. It's driving me nuts. Anyway we had so much fun. Lauren was the funniest. She would just get so excited to bowl. I will have to add more pictures to another post. Which will be backwards. Why do pictures and posts post backwards? I am so annoyed tonight. I also am sick with a bad cold, Brian just left to go out of town on business and I think I need to go to bed. I took some good medicine that makes me sleepy. I hope to do some more posts tomorrow. I have lots of catching up to do.

WeIrD dReAm

Have you ever had a dream that seemed so real? Then you wake up and realize how wonderful your life really is?

I had a dream that I was single. I don't know why but that was like a nightmare for me. I was trying to figure out how I was going to find a husband. I was very worried. But in the back of my mind I knew everything was alright. That was when I woke up.

I love Brian so much and I am so thankful that we are so happy together and love each other so much!! I feel so happy and content. Now, I don't have to find a husband. I already have the best one in the whole world!

6.5 Miles

These Runner's World magazine pictures motivate me. I love them. They make me want to stick with my goal and not quit.

On Friday my friend and I ran our longest run yet. 6.5 miles. It was so hard. Running outside is sooo much harder than treadmill running. There were two things that made it hard.....

1. The weather. I know I am a big baby, but we ran at 8:00am and it was only 29 degrees. Not fun.

2. The hills. They were hard too! Atlanta has some really nice inclines. I think that we ran uphill for at least 1/2 of the way.
I thought this picture was funny. That is how we felt. Until next week. Each week we add about a mile on to our distance. I hope I can make it. Spring, please come soon..... I need warmer weather. I would rather sweat more than freeze.

Running

This is how I feel today! If only I looked that perfect. I am training for my first half marathon. I was a runner in junior high and high school and I was pretty good. The longest race that I have run is a 5k. I am great at short distance but not so good at long. My friend Tiffany and I are training for the Country Music 1/2 in Nashville. Should be fun...Lots of music!!! Music makes running so much easier. The weather has been so cold and yucky here. The coldest winter in years. So, the treadmill has been my best friend. On Saturdays we usually do our long runs outside. Last Saturday I ran my 1st long run on the treadmill. I ran 6 miles and watched Food Network. I thought that I was going to go nuts running that far on the treadmill, but it was pretty great. I have lost no weight doing this but I feel fantastic and my body is getting less flabby!! Yeah! You all should try it!!!

Anyone else ready for Spring?

I know that we didn't get much snow compared to some of you all. But we sure did have fun playing in it all day. Brian made it home from work and they decided to create this huge snowman. They had a great time. Other than how cold it is outside, it was such a beautiful day. The snow is so pretty. I am soooo ready for Spring though.......

Snow Day!!

Today the kids got a snow day. Brian also had to work from home. The roads were too dangerous. Thank goodness he didn't drive to work. There was a 27 car pile up on the highway that he drives on everyday. Plus our driveway and the road out of our neighborhood was too slippery to get out.
I know this does not look that bad. But under that snow is pure ice. (I know I know.....we still haven't had time to take down our Christmas decorations).
This is what the kids in the neighborhood did all day. That road and all the roads where a big sheet of ice.
This is Lindsey, she had a fun time. It was very cold. It felt like 6 degrees with the wind chill. They would come in every 20 minutes or so and thaw out in front of the fire. Then go back out for another round of fun.
This is the only time we ever let our kids play in the street. No vehicles could get up our hill, so it became our sledding hill.
