Spooky Halloween

I woke up this morning in the mood to clean my house. (That doesn't happen very often but I do it any way). So, I opened all my shutters and this is what I found. Thankfully it is on the outside of my window!! What is it? I have never seen such a spooky bug. I know it's not a spider. I guess that I don't need to decorate my house with scary bugs, we have the real thing.  I think it's so funny lately that I keep getting people in the background of my pictures. Check out my neighbor in the bottom left corner. She is talking on her phone and in her sweatpants. Makes you wonder how many pictures you are in that you are unaware of. Have fun trick or treating tonight. I will take lots of pictures of the girls and post them soon.

Pumpkin Patch

We drove to the best pumpkin patch that we have ever been to on Saturday. People have been telling us about this place, so we finally checked it out. It took us about an hour to get there but it was well worth the drive. Not only was it the most beautiful day (60 degrees or more) but they have the biggest pumpkins that we have ever seen. Some of those babies sell for $50 or more. There were people everywhere.
There was a sign that said do not sit on pumpkins, but we could not resist. Plus everyone else was doing it come on.... Look at the cute teenage girl to the left. She was posing for a picture too. 
That line to the right of Caroline went on forever. It was for the hayride. There were all shapes and sizes of pumpkins available. We let the girls pick out their very own. That took forever. I just love how they each had to find the perfect one. Kirsten and Lindsey must have picked out about 5 or more before they found the perfect shaped pumpkin with no blemishes whatsoever. 
There is our silly girl. Yes, I know she has a bright red stain on her white shirt. We had Chick fil-A for lunch and she always has to have fruit punch. Yummy Yummy. 

I took this picture from the other side of a stream. I thought it turned out cute. 
Kirsten would not put down the pumpkin that she picked out. She carried it around all day. 
This was the most beautiful little place. There was a stream with rocks. There were kids everywhere playing in the water. There was a cute little grassy area right next to this stream where there were dozens of families having a picnic. 
In the background of this picture there is a cute covered bridge. If you look closely, I apparently took a picture of a lady and her son posing for a photo too.

Crazy sock day

The girls got into the Halloween spirit with crazy sock day at school. I must admit that I enjoy shopping and putting together these kind of  fun outfits for the kids. Each kid who wore socks donated $1 to a local charity. It is a great way to teach the kids that donating can be a rewarding thing as well as fun. Did we mention that we are so excited for Halloween?

Here are some fun pictures of the girls that we took this past weekend. We had a great time relaxing and watching Conference.

Here they are showing off their new haircuts. Kirsten got the most cut off. 

Lindsey and I were surprised on Monday when her Dr. told us that her bone seemed to have moved more out of place. What, after two weeks have gone by it seems like we are back at square one. Well not really. Her bone does have new growth but she just needed a better cast. It is a long story that I won't bore you with. The sad thing was watching them put a lot of pressure on her broken bone to put it back in place. The Dr. basically had to mold the cast to her arm until it dried. It was very painful for her. The good news is that her new cast looks so much better. She decided that red was just not matching all of her outfits. She chose black for Halloween and because it matches with everything.  
On Friday, Lauren and I went to Caroline's class for some apple fun. Nice glasses Lauren. Notice we are inside and she is still wearing them.

Hair cuts

Having all girls is pretty great because we hardly ever have to go to the hair salon. They like to grow their hair long so I just trim the dead ends when needed. We decided it was time for a real haircut. We went to a cute girly place called Sweet n Sassy. Kirsten was here this day but she got her haircut a couple weeks before. I just forgot to take a picture of her haircut. Sorry Kirsten:)
This was Lauren's first haircut. What a little goofball. She was being so silly. 

This was the finished product. She loved the glitter hairspray. 

School Pictures

We got the girls school pictures back last week. I usually don't care for school pictures. They never turn out that great. This year I was pleasantly surprised that they all turned out fairly decent.  

Caroline is my big kindergartner this year. She is enjoying it so much. She is my Sweet Caroline.
Kirsten is in the 2nd grade and she loves her class this year. She has made a lot of great friends already. 
Lindsey is in 4th grade. Her teacher from last year looped her class up to the 4th grade. I think this has been really great for her.
